The Porsche 928 offered here in the special color Light Green Metallic and interior Pasha with brown leather is one of the more desirable from the 1st series with a very low chassis number. Porsche Stuttgart is registered as the first owner and the car was probably used as a demonstration or press car. It comes from the third owner and has been in the last ownership since 1982, a whopping 42 years. The on-board folder with operating instructions, service booklet and emissions maintenance document is present. This Porsche 928 is being sold in as-is condition, ideal as a basis for a project.

The Porsche 928 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1977 as “The great new sports car from Porsche”. It is a Gran Turismo with a V8 front engine and rear-wheel drive. The gearbox and differential are located in a common housing on the rear axle (transaxle). The body was designed for lightweight construction in order to keep the weight of the car as low as possible despite the extensive equipment. To this end, the doors, fenders and hood were made of aluminum. The 928 was significantly longer, wider and flatter than the 911 at the time and was Porsche’s top-of-the-range model, which was to replace the 911 in the early 1980s.
Delivered from fall 1977, the sports car won many awards at its launch due to its progressive design and equipment. In 1978, it was the first sports car ever to be voted European Car of the Year by an international jury of journalists.
