Attention enthusiasts and collectors – a rare opportunity for Swiss car history!
Only 10 examples of the Monteverdi High Speed 375 S with Frua bodywork were built, of which just 5 are still known today. The one offered here was delivered to the first owner in the Solothurn area in January 1969. This beautiful Monteverdi High Speed 375 S «Frua» has been completely restored over the years and, in its classic timeless color combination of red and dark cream leather interior, is in top-maintained and absolutely original collector’s condition. It took part in various Concours d’Elegance, including the Villa d’Este, and was exhibited several times at the Geneva Motor Show. The car has a FIVA Identity Card and is veteran-approved. It is fully documented. The entire ownership history is known and recorded in the Pietro Frua register. Many documents such as invoices, articles and photos are available.

The first model, the High Speed 375 S, was a two-seater coupé with a Frua body. The shape of the body was based on Giorgio Giugiaro’s Maserati Ghibli and also had references to the Maserati Mistral and the British AC 428. A 7.2-liter eight-cylinder V-engine from Chrysler was used to power the car, which produced 375 SAE hp. The car made its debut at the IAA in Frankfurt in September 1967. Frua built a total of 10 bodies based on his design until the summer of 1968. Monteverdi then switched to Carrozzeria Fissore, which produced six more bodies based on the Frua design until the spring of 1969. Monteverdi then had to give up the Frua design.
