The Monteverdi High Speed 375 L with Frua body offered here is a one-off. Only this car (chassis number 2001), which was shown in Geneva in March 1968, was completed with the original bodywork by Pietro Frua.

After Peter Monteverdi had initially registered the car to himself, it was taken over by Swiss businessman Alfred Hopf, with whom Monteverdi had already run the Écurie HOBA racing team a few years earlier. The car later went to the famous playboy Gunter Sachs, who presumably not only had his then wife Brigitte Bardot on board, but also the undisputed sex goddess of the era. In the 1980s, Monteverdi bought it back and it became part of the Monteverdi Museum.
This beautiful Monteverdi High Speed 375 L “Frua” in the color Aqua Verde is in top-maintained and absolutely original collector’s condition.

The Monteverdi High Speed 375 L with Frua bodywork is a one-off 2+2-seater sports car built by the Swiss car brand Monteverdi in 1968. It was originally planned to complement the two-seater High Speed 375 S (Frua) presented six months earlier, but was not produced in series in this form due to a copyright dispute. In 1969, a second model appeared with the designation High Speed 375 L, which had a Fissore body and looked significantly different. The Fissore version was built around one hundred times until 1976. Pietro Frua further developed his Monteverdi design a few years later for the British sports car manufacturer AC Cars.
