Ferrari 512 BB
First Registration 1982
Swiss Delivery with „Veteran“ entry
Only 48’000 kilometres in original condition
In 1976, at the Paris Motor Show, the Pininfarina-styled Ferrari 512 “Berlinetta Boxer” was presented to the public as the successor to the Ferrari 365 GT/4 BB. This mid-engine sports car had a twelve-cylinder engine that had been enlarged to nearly five litres. Although it was called a “Boxer” in its naming, it was constructively a V12 with a 180° cylinder angle. The 512 BB continued to be supplied with fuel by impressive Weber carburettors, but overall ran even more elastically and smoothly than its predecessor. Only 929 examples of the 512 BB were built, while 1’007 of the later 512 BBi (with double K-Jetronic) were built. The carburettor models create much more emotion due to their impressive optics and their unique intake noise. In a test in “Auto Motor und Sport” at that time, this breathtaking sports car achieved an acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h in only 18.9 seconds!
This Ferrari 512 BB is in a very good condition and fulfils all expectations. The original tools in the Ferrari case, as well as the Ferrari folder with owners manual and service booklet are present in this Ferrari. The last major inspection was carried out by Ferrari Leirer AG about 1,000 kilometres back. With new tyres, this “Berlinetta Boxer” is ready for the next breathtaking drive.
