Donald Healey presented the new “100”, the body of which he designed together with his designer Gerry Coker, at the London Motor Show in 1952. Of course, Austin boss Leonard Lord also took a look at the new Healey Roadster, which he already knew existed through the engineering sales negotiations. Lord was excited by that car and placed it in the official sales programme. The Austin-Healey was born. Internally called the BN1, the Austin-Healey was only built in series production between 1953 and 1956. The brilliant styling of the body is best seen in this early, purist version. It was replaced by the much heavier 100/6 (BN4).
This breathtakingly beautiful Austin-Healey 100 from the very early series came from the collection of a reputable Austin-Healey specialist and was restored accordingly to the highest standard. This “Healey” was further refined to the M-specification, as very rarely delivered by the factory. Since then the car has only been driven around 7’000 kilometres. Recently, a major inspection was made and so this characterful roadster is now ready for passionate drivings.
