Porsche 911 T 2.2 Coupé
First registration 12.1970
Matching numbers and color
Swiss road registration
The Porsche 911 T 2.2 Coupé offered here is a matching numbers example in the color sepia brown and leather beige/light brown, which has always been lovingly cared for. It was last owned for 13 years and no effort or expense was spared to maintain and perfect it. The investment in it far exceeds the current selling price. For example, the entire engine, carburetor and bodywork have recently undergone a comprehensive overhaul. The brakes have also been overhauled and the entire underbody has been ice-blasted. This beautiful Porsche 911 T 2.2 is an absolutely honest car in very original and well-maintained condition. It drives cleanly and the optional 5-speed transmission shifts flawlessly. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a classic 911 at such a great value.
The Porsche 911, also known as the nine-eleven for short, is Porsche’s best-known sports car and is considered the epitome of the brand.
The 911 is a typical sports car. It is powered by a 6-cylinder boxer engine in the rear. With the rear-engine design, the 911 continues a classic design principle that can already be found in earlier Porsche developments.
Body variants of the Porsche 911 are the Coupé, the Cabriolet and the Targa.
The first 911 version to go into series production from September 1964 was the so-called original model presented at the IAA 1963 with a 130 hp 2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine.
Even when stationary, this 911 is a homage to the original, the clarity of the mechanics and the art of omission.
