MGB V8 Roadster
First Registration June 1970
Swiss Road Registration with „Veteran“ entry
3‘000 km since tecnical overhaul
The MGB was first presented at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1962 and became Britain’s best-selling mid-size sports car of all time. This completely redesigned two-seater, which was intended to replace the already successful MGA, was powered at the time by a 1798 cc BMC B-series engine, which continued to power the MGB and MGB GT models virtually unchanged for another 18 years. The MGB series was finally discontinued in 1980, but the popularity of the MGB remains strong.
An MGB V8 Roadster is a beautiful sight in itself but the British classic we offer for sale here is a very special car.
This MGB V8 Roadster was technically overhauled by an MG V8 specialist for over 100’000.- CHF. Detailed invoices and documentation are available. The old soft top was removed and replaced by a new custom made soft top. The MGB was not only given a new look, but technically it was also restored. For example, the old 3.5 liter V8 engine was replaced by a larger V8 and now produces significantly more than the previous 145 hp. The powerful hiss of the new engine and exhaust system makes the hearts of all car enthusiasts beat faster. In addition, the transmission has been revised, which now has an over-drive and furthermore shifts fantastically. As you can see from the photos, this is anything but a standard MGB V8 roadster.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a unique MG MGB V8 Roadster in great condition.
