The Aurelia is a model of the Italian automobile manufacturer Lancia, which was produced from 1950 to 1958.
With this car Lancia showed itself innovative: It had the first V6 engine produced in a notable series, this was also one of the first car engines with housing and cylinder head made of light metal.
The Aurelia marked for Lancia above all an economic success, was however also style formative for many further Lancia models. In addition began for Lancia with this model its success series in the Rallye sport.
This beautiful Lancia Aurelia B52 Worblaufen Cabriolet was exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show 1953 and was then redeemed for the first time for a Bernese watch manufacturer on 28.03.1953. According to the certificate/confirmation from Carrosserie Worblaufen, this is one of only four “2 doors, 4 windows” Lancia Aurelia convertibles built by Carrosserie Worblaufen. It was owned by the same family from 1952 to 2020, a whopping 68 years, was rarely driven in the summer and always cherished. The body with all chrome parts was restored a few years ago. Recently, the mechanics and electrics were partially overhauled by the last owner and the original interior was refreshed. The last owner, a former mechanical engineer, put an immense amount of personal effort into this car and continuously perfected it. On 26.03.2021 this Aurelia was freshly veteran-approved.
