The uncompromising Griffith 400 offered here was born in the USA in 1965 as the Griffith 200 and later completely rebuilt as the Griffith 400. The history of this car with the corresponding chassis number is mentioned in the book “The GRIFFITH Years” by Mike Mooney in a 6-page report.
The Ford eight-cylinder engine delivers a measured 402 hp and offers a brute power delivery on approx. 890 kg. This beautiful Griffith 400 is therefore an extremely competitive racing car with current FiA / HTP papers and Swiss road registration with veteran entry, with which you are sure to be a welcome guest at every sporting and racing event at home and abroad and which can also be driven smoothly in road traffic. The car is in perfect, very well maintained and top collector’s condition. The original US title is present.
The Griffith 400 is a two-seater sports car produced by Grantura Engineering or TVR Engineering in the UK together with Griffith Motors in the USA. The model, based on the TVR Grantura, was intended for the North American market, where it was to compete with similarly designed sports cars such as the AC Cobra developed by Carroll Shelby. Here it replaced the Griffith 200, from which it differed primarily in its modified bodywork. A version intended for the British market was sold under the TVR brand as the TVR Griffith 200.
