Swiss road-legal classic
Fiat Dino – an Italian icon with a Ferrari engine.
In March 1967, the Fiat Dino was unveiled to the public at the Geneva Motor Show as a Coupé and a Spider. The two body styles differed significantly in design. This was no surprise, as the Coupé was designed by Bertone and the Spider by Pininfarina. The Coupé had a wheelbase 270 millimeters longer, offering two additional seats in the rear. The Fiat Dino Coupé offered here is the 2.0-liter engine variant. Unlike the 2.4-liter model with a gray cast iron engine block, the slightly smaller engine is made entirely of aluminum and thus places less load on the front axle. This gives the Coupé better handling, and with a high output of 160 hp, it is hardly inferior to the larger displacement variant despite its lower overall weight. These engines were also used in the Ferrari Dino 206 and 246.
While current collector’s prices for Ferrari Dino models are approaching half a million Swiss francs, you can enjoy this magnificent engine in the Fiat Dino at a very attractive price. The driving pleasure in this coupé makes every car enthusiast’s heart beat faster.
This beautiful Fiat Dino 2000 Coupé, in Giallo Positano with a Blu Scuro interior, has always been meticulously maintained and serviced regularly. Equipped with new shock absorbers and converted to electronic ignition, it is ready for a new owner. The jack and onboard tools are included, as is a complete, custom-made carpet set.
