The Ford Mustang Boss 302S is a factory race car developed by Ford Racing Performance specifically for professional motorsport use. Only a small number were built as turnkey race cars – i.e., ready-to-race competition vehicles that private drivers can enter directly into racing series such as the Pirelli World Challenge GTS, SCCA, and NASA without major modifications.
The Ford Mustang Boss 302S offered here was delivered new to Switzerland in May 2012 with a 5.0-liter RoadRunner V8 engine and the extremely stable and closely spaced Tremec 6060 6-speed manual transmission. It is number 20 of only about 50 units built in this series. It has always been professionally serviced and maintained and, with only 71 engine and transmission hours, its Cortex Watt-Link rear suspension with new linkage, new differential, new wheel bearings and brake pads, new slick tires and much more, it is in top condition and ready for immediate use. Various parts such as two additional wheel sets with rain tires, brake pads and discs, two Makrolon side windows and other items are also included, as well as a user manual and various documents.
The Boss 302S is powered by a 5.0-liter Ford Racing V8 engine, with power transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and a Torsen T2R limited-slip differential.
It has an adjustable racing suspension with double-adjustable coil-over dampers and Ford Racing stabilizers. Brembo four-piston calipers and large discs ensure stable deceleration. An FIA-compliant 6-point roll cage reinforces the body.
The interior is equipped with a Recaro HANS-Pro-Racer racing seat, 6-point harness, quick-release steering wheel, and an AIM data acquisition system with GPS. Additional safety features such as a fire extinguishing system and window nets meet racing standards.
The Boss 302S has an aerodynamic kit with a large, adjustable front splitter and a carbon rear wing, which provides more downforce and stability at high speeds.
